About this opportunity

The Role

EMS has an exciting new opportunity to employ a Junior Electrical, Control & Instrumentation Engineer. In this role you will be responsible for a wide range of commissioning activities including but not limited to electrical terminations, electrical signalling, and fault finding, while working within a dynamic team to successfully deliver projects in line with EMS’ high standards of Health and Safety. Other responsibilities will include providing internal and external technical support, input into the planning and scheduling of work, and client and sub-contractor engagement.

You’ll have the ability to communicate effectively, demonstrate you’re a good team player, and show diligence and attention to detail.

This is a great opportunity for an individual who has an entry level qualification or equivalent and is looking to progress their career in a company who are passionate about environmental change.

The role is site-based, working from the EMS Sheffield office and will require flexible working hours and occasional overnight stays during the week.

Essential and Desirable Skills/Experience

  • Entry level engineering qualification, or equivalent
  • Previous experience in Environmental Monitoring or Electrical Engineer role
  • Experience in a delivery role, delivering integrated solutions (electrical terminations and signals)
  • Able to demonstrate skills and effective liaison with internal disciplines and a widespread customer base

Training to be provided

  • City & Guilds 2365 Level 2 & 3
